Nile cruise boats have been sailing all over Egypt since ancient times. Even in their funeral traditions, the ancient Egyptian used Nile boats to carry the body of the dead from the East Bank (the city of the living) to the west bank, (the city of the dead). Nowadays, Egypt hosts a number of fascinating modern equipped ships that go on Nile cruises mainly from Luxor to Aswan and back
And now we came to our main question, how to choose a Nile cruise boat?
Before you go for Nile cruise booking ask your self the following questions:
1- when I go to Nile cruise holiday?
2- In which day of the week I will start my Nile cruise?
3- How many days I want to stay on the cruise?
4- How much I want to pay?
In this post, I will answer the first question only about the date of your trip? If you have the choice then you have to know that the best time to spend a holiday in Egypt is between October and April, the rest of the year will be too hot but more cheaper as you can have around %15 discount in the summertime but try to avoid July and August because it is the Egyptian and Arab countries holiday that is mean the Nile cruise will be cheap but other destinations especially the beach resorts such as in the red sea will be very expansive, so if you will want to extend your holiday on the beach this two months will not be the best time.
If you will avoid to come in the summer and want the best price during the winter try to go in period before or after holidays that is mean in the first half of December or the second half of January, and now let me summarize the price criteria of the Nile cruise holiday, Egypt have three seasons :
1-Low or they call it shoulder period start from the middle of May until the first of October and from the middle of January until first of March the rates in this dates are the cheapest around the year.
2-High or they call it peak or premium periods includes Christmas and New Year also Easter time those are the most expansive time in Egypt it can be three times higher than the rest of the year or maybe more.
3- Normal period includes all the other dates than what I have mentioned in the first tow category.
